Nearly all students in secondary education will study biology, the science of living things. For transgender and gender-expansive youth, the subject presents many opportunities for authentic inclusion. How can we teach about X and Y chromosomes while acknowledging diverse identities? How can we frame the science of reproduction to affirm all families? I will present a guide to developing gender-inclusive lessons about genetics, sexual reproduction, anatomy, disease, and evolutionary biology. Participants will have an opportunity to discuss and to practice adapting lessons.
