This session will offer the legal community an overview of the legal program. There will be a conversation to help legal professionals understand general cultural competency when working with transgender and gender-expansive clients and their families. It will also provide an opportunity to learn specifically about ways of supporting transgender youth in out-of-home care. There will be a discussion of parental rights as well as children’s right during divorce, including dispute resolution and supporting your clients, as well as their cisgender parents, through family transitions.
