Navigating the medical world is a unique challenge for transgender and gender expansive youth and their families. In this session, there will be a conversation around the standards of care and informed consent for youth. It will address the specific issues that are of particular concern to parents and transgender clients including gender markers on insurance and coverage for puberty suppression, hormones and surgery. There will also be a discussion of the ACA under the current administration.
